The Truth Will Out was the 16th episode of Season 1 of The Golden Girls TV series, also the 16th overall series episode. Directed by Terry Hughes and written by Susan Beavers along with series co-executive producer Susan Harris, it originally aired on NBC-TV on January 18, 1986.
Rose gets a visit from one of her daughters and granddaughter. Rose is preparing her will which has her in discomfort. Tension ensues when Rose has to explain how all of Charlie's investments mysteriously appear lower than they should be.
Rose has her daughter Kirsten and granddaughter Charley coming to Miami, her daughter is there to look over the will and for some reason Rose is nervous.
After a dinner Rose shows Kristen the will, there is a problem while there is the estate from Charlie, Kristen remarks on how smaller the amount was especially when Rose told them that it was bigger, confronted Rose said she spent part of it in bad investments and Kirsten leaves in anger.
As Rose deals with the risk of losing the family she chats to Charley and then sharing a bed with Dorothy she decides she needs to tell Kirsten the truth.
The next day she tells Kirsten the truth, it turns out Charlie's estate was smaller, because he had bad luck with money, but when Rose said it was bigger she was scared that her children would see Charlie differently. Kristen forgives Rose and they decide to spend an extra few days.
