Theodore "Tad" Hunter Hollingsworth is the developmentally challenged autistic eldest child of Curtis "Big Daddy" Hollingsworth and Elizabeth Ann "Big Mommy" Bennett Roquet Hollingsworth, his younger siblings being Charmaine Gertrude Hollingsworth, Blanche Elizabeth Marie Devereaux, Virginia Lena Warren, and Clayton "Clay" Louis Hollingsworth. He has spent most of his life in an institution in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He appeared in The Golden Palace, where he visited Blanche (much to her chagrin). However, Blanche is uncharacteristically gentle and patient with Tad, who tells Rose that Blanche is his favorite sister. Tad is shown to have a love for cartoons.
