It occurs in a flashback to when Blanche and Rose first meet. Here, Blanche is putting "Roommate Wanted" ads on the board and Rose approaches her, interested. Rose explains she was recently evicted from her apartment because her landlord did not allow pets. She refuses to part with her cat. At first Blanche finds this woman annoying, but after some thought and search for another roommate, decides to give Rose a chance.
