Sandy regularly mocks any person she makes contact with but is also very faithful to her work and can actually be a very nice person. She was born in the state Texas.
Sandy has been without a love partner for so long she is willing to tolerate a whole lot for it. While her ex Harold cheated on her she would love for her and him to hook up again. While Sandy seems like a slut sometimes, she has trouble keeping on to a man. Men wish to desire her for seemingly not more than one date, while she also likes to think she does not want to go on with her steady love life because she misses her old husband.
When Sandy tried to play matchmaker for Greg's grandfather while he was a patient he died during sexual intercourse with another patient.

- Although Sandy is a good friend of Laverne, Sandy never guest starred on Empty Nest. In the 1992 Nurses episode "In My New Country" it is mentioned by Sandy that Laverne beat her a lot of swim races at summer camp, it can be assumed that the two already knew each other in their youth.
