Blanche's grandson David visits while his parents try to repair their marriage on a second honeymoon and upsets the entire household with his obnoxious, rebellious attitude.
Plot[]
Blanche's 14-year old grandson David visits Miami and is an instant handful, stowing away in his airplane's bathroom and illegally flying to the Bahamas. He later wakes the girls during the night with a loud party with other teenagers he met while getting pizza. He and his "friends" insult the girls, which results in them being thrown out and Sophia slapping David. David reveals that his parents neglect him due to their troubled marriage and in order to teach him responsibility, Blanche and the other girls give him a list of chores. He reconciles with Sophia and the others but they convince him to join his parents in Hawaii on their second honeymoon when he asks to move in full-time. Meanwhile, Dorothy is studying for her French final, insistent upon getting an A. Sophia, annoyed by Dorothy's obsession, ensures her that she will pass, which, despite David's distractions, she does, though her grade is not mentioned.[1]
When discussing things to do with a fourteen year-old, Sophia mentions the film Rambo. Estelle Getty would go on to play Sylvester Stallone's mother in the 1992 film Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot.
Production[]
Billy Jacoby is the younger brother of Scott Jacoby, who plays Dorothy's son Michael.
