Tired of Carol's complaining, Barbara challenges her to spend the day being spontaneous. This leads to them gatecrashing a party that turns out to be a prestigious Democratic fundraiser. Meanwhile, Harry and Laverne duel over what happened on the day Laverne was hired, but when they appeal to Otto the janitor for his version, his story is all about himself.
