This is a full list of Carol Weston's relationships. For a list of her significant others, see Carol Weston/Romances.

Main[]

Harry Weston[]

Carol's father.

Barbara Weston[]

Barbara's younger sister by four and a half years. The rocky relationship between Carol and Barbara is established early on, as the two very different sisters argue over everything. Their bickering wears on Harry to the point where he offers to take them on a trip to Paris if they can go one month without fighting, but the girls find that they don't enjoy being friends and would rather be able to fight about what's bothering them than sweep it under the rug.[1]

Through all their fights, however, Carol is often one of Barbara's biggest advocates and will help her stand her ground when she has conflicts with their father. When Barbara refused to speak to Harry after he convinced her lieutenant to give her a desk job, Carol visited her at work and convinced her to reconcile with him. Carol was the first person Barbara went to when she realized she didn't want to marry a man that Harry set her up with, and Carol convinced her to call off the wedding and tell Harry how she felt.[2]

Charley Dietz[]

Carol and Charley have an openly-hostile relationship. Carol greatly dislikes Charley's lack of respect for those around him, while Charley delights in poking fun at Carol's neuroses and her lack of a love life.

In "Goodbye, Mr. Dietz", Charley finally becomes aware of how his antics have harmed the Westons over the years and decides to move out. While Harry and Barbara find that they miss his antics, Carol is elated that he has moved away and revels in their Charley-free existence, constantly reminding her family how bad of a neighbor he was and that they should be glad he's gone. To her dismay, however, Harry and Barbara convince Charley to move back to the neighborhood.[3]

In "The Boy Next Door", Charley comforts Carol after a breakup and the two of them end up sleeping together. After they got over their overwhelming disgust, they briefly wondered if their dislike for one another was masking an unknown attraction. They tried going on a date or two, but couldn't click despite their efforts and realized that their night of passion was just a fluke. They then went back to being hostile to each other.[4]

When Carol got pregnant with her son Scotty and broke up with her then-boyfriend Patrick, Charley offered to marry Carol so that her son would have a father figure in her life. In "Settling', he genuinely congratulated Carol on her engagement, albeit with a jab at her appearance afterward.
