A Shot in the Dark is the thirteenth episode of the third season of Empty Nest and the fifty-ninth episode overall. Directed by Steve Zuckerman and written by Roger Garrett, it premiered on NBC-TV on January 5th, 1991.

Summary[]

Barbara mistakes Carol's new boyfriend for a burglar and shoots him in the leg, so he stays with the Westons while he recuperates. Harry decides to help Laverne overcome her fear of public speaking.
