Most of the big actors from The Golden Girls have died but most of the starring actors from Empty Nest and especially Nurses are still alive. David Leisure, Stephanie Hodge, Dinah Manoff, Carlos Lacamara and Marsha Warfield for example are still alive. Especially Carlos is still active, in 2022 he was seen in a starring role for an HBO Max series and in 2023 he wrote a book. Marsha re-entered showbusiness in 2021.

I would recommend asking the store from which you bought it to replace the box. If you receive another defective dvd you could ask your money back and then buy another box in another store. If that has the same result you can contact the distributor (mentioned on the back of the box) which will hopefully send you a replacing disc.

Starting on Wednesday 9 November 2022 the Dutch channel RTL Lounge will start rerunning the episodes of The Golden Girls.
On Wednesday at 22.00 one episode (S1, E1: The Pilot) will be shown, starting on Thursday two episodes (starting with 2 and 3) will be shown at 21.30 and 22.00 hours. Episodes are rerunned every day in English audio with Dutch subtitles.
Other times on which episodes are rerunned are 01.30, 04.50, 05.10, 13.10, 16.35 and 17.05 hours.
Every season will be shown except for the spin-off season The Golden Palace. As far as is known there are no reruns planned for Empty Nest and Nurses, although RTL did air all seasons of Nurses in 2004 and 2005 on the channels RTL Yorin and RTL 5.
Unfortunately since the year 2016 channel group RTL is known for a policy in which they 'despise' specific popular culture which reduces the chances of RTL rerunning the episode in which mud masks are shown. This policy was made because of a small group of activists which have over the years commited multiple crimes in the hopes that the people of the Netherlands (and in specific companies and events) would stop portraying characters that paint their faces.
RTL Lounge is a paid channel that is not shown with the standard channel offers of cable operators.

As you may know there are no home video releases of Empty Nest and Nurses. While most of the stars of Golden Girls are not alive anymore, the actors from Empty Nest and Nurses are still alive except for Richard Mulligan. Would you like to see new episodes of Empty Nest with the same actors and same characters from the original series? And would you like to see guest starring roles for the starring actors and characters from Nurses and Golden Girls in those episodes? From Nurses especially Stephanie Hodge as Sandy Miller is missed by fans, which would make a regular starring role in Empty Nest for this actress and character a good idea as how Estelle Getty did in the 1993/1994 and 1994/1995 seasons of Empty Nest. The community medical center is a building that is shared in all three Harris series. As admin of the Nurses wiki i think it would be a good idea to create a map of the Miami hospital that can be shared on the wikis.
I am mostly a fan of the Nurses series which means I don't have the time to search through the episodes of Golden Girls and Empty Nest to find details on the hospital.
My request to the fans is the following: if you are currently watching episodes of Golden Girls, Empty Nest and/or Nurses and spot notes about the hospital than please post these in the topic. Let's hope in the future we can create some sort of map using the information.

I think the NBC Network would be the right company to ask this question. They originally aired The Golden Girls, Empty Nest and Nurses.
